Meet Ashley Burchell, LPC(she/her):
Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from The George Washington University and my graduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been in practice since 2017.
My Therapy Specialties:
I specialize in working with teen and adult individuals seeking treatment for PTSD, Complex Trauma, and Eating Disorders. My area of expertise is working with women’s mental health and I have a particular interest in female empowerment, self-esteem, body image and body positivity, and burnout prevention.
What drew me to this work:
Through my own journey, I have learned about the profound power of the therapeutic process. Throughout the years, my personal work bloomed into a deep passion to become a Licensed Counselor. My own experience is what motivates me to keep giving to every client who seeks healing and peace, as I understand the journey firsthand.
My style:
I understand that nothing is more important in the therapeutic journey than feeling heard and being truly understood. My therapeutic style is empathetic and genuine. I am here to meet you wherever you are in your life journey. Taking a supportive yet collaborative approach, I utilize evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic techniques. I am deeply honored to guide you towards being the best version of yourself, and I value a strong therapeutic rapport as our foundation. I provide a non judgmental space in which you will always be met with compassion and respect.
Services I offer:
In-person individual counseling and family sessions
