Meet Chiara Barone, LPC, LCADC: 

Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling both from Montclair State University.

My Therapy Specialties:

I work with families and individuals on various matters including substance use, impulse control, trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management, communication and relationship difficulties. Individuals I work with include different ages from children to adults. I additionally have experience working with children who need to process trauma through play therapy. I began my work as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in 2012 and realized very quickly the importance of mental health work for all of us.

What drew me to this work:

I learned the definition of resilience at a very young age and even more importantly the value of positive support. We all need help to navigate life’s stressors and learn to find our strength within. Through my work as a therapist I aim to be present and provide any support you may need.

My Style:

I am a firm believer that therapy is a different experience for each family or individual. I pull from different styles and cater to your needs and personality. My main goal, however, is to create a safe, non judgemental and empathetic environment practicing from a Rogerian client centered approach. I use a variety of evidence-based practices along with mindfulness techniques to work towards achieving your goals and assist you in living a healthier and happier life.
