Meet Colleen Craig, LAC (she/her/hers):
Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a Licensed Associate Counselor. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I studied Forensic Psychology and Forensic Mental Health Counseling. Most of my experience includes working with vulnerable youth in an academic and residential setting with focus on trauma-informed care.
My Therapy Specialties:
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress management, mood regulation, relationship conflict and family issues.
I have a particular interest in working with those struggling with complex PTSD, as well as individuals with low self-esteem or self-acceptance.
What drew me to this work:
I have always been recognized by family and friends as the person who will listen and offer support whenever necessary. I decided that if I could impact those around me in this way, I should offer that support to everyone. Pursuing an education and career in mental health has taught me to do more than just listen. I am passionate about educating individuals and offering the skills needed to overcome challenges. I appreciate the opportunity to positively impact someone’s day, every day.
My style:
I am empathetic, engaged, direct, and non-judgemental. I believe in meeting each client where they are within their therapeutic journey, and will create a safe environment to nurture growth.
Services I offer:
In-person individual, couple, and family therapy.
