Collette Crines, MSW, LSW

Welcome! I commend you on taking the first step towards a better you! It is often difficult to acknowledge a need for support. Whatever it is you are experiencing, from anxiety, depression, or grief, to simply trying to cope with the everyday stresses of life, I am available to walk with you on your path to peace of mind.

Since a young age, I have been devoted to serving impoverished children and families worldwide. I have worked in educational and community development in India, Thailand, Ethiopia, and Madagascar. Having lived in and traveled to many different countries, cultural sensitivity is embedded in my practice. Traveling amplified my passion for helping people in need and inspired me to pursue a career in empowering individuals to improve themselves.

Because I have been exposed to so many different types of people from all walks of life, I have recognized that problems do not discriminate – all people experience suffering. With love and compassion, I offer a non-judgmental environment to openly discuss and work through problems. While living abroad, I studied and practiced yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. I incorporate mindfulness techniques and strategies to create an open space for healing. I believe awareness and conscious decision making lead to a more content and fulfilling life.

Prior to joining the Olive Branch Therapy Group, I was a counselor at the Community YMCA where I provided in-home counseling, behavioral support and parent mentoring services. Additionally, I utilized play therapy and creative interventions while working with children. I possess an eagerness to effectuate positive change in others.

Managing stress can be difficult. As such, it is my goal to create a positive therapeutic relationship for individuals to work through life’s transitions and challenges, such as stress from relationships, school, work, grief, or traumatic experiences. Whatever it is you want to improve, I am here to help. I feel energized to help those struggling. I look forward to speaking with you and answering any questions you may have.
