Meet Julia Feiring: Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I received my undergraduate degrees from Emerson College and my graduate degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. I’ve been in practice since 2009.
My Therapy Specialties:
I specialize in working with teenagers, adults, and families dealing with:
- Anxiety, depression, infertility, bereavement, life transitions, women’s issues, advanced illness, autism, and learning disabilities.
- I have a particular interest in working with those who are facing life transitions such as becoming a parent, losing a loved one, or entering the working world after college. Additionally, I come from a Jewish background and have an understanding of how religion can impact a person’s relationships and values. I enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds and faiths.
What drew me to this work:
My career as a therapist started with my interest in theater, art, and music. As an undergraduate, I majored in theater and also took courses in applied arts and psychology. Summers I worked with learning disabled and developmentally delayed individuals. I became less interested in characters in plays and more invested in the stories of real people. This led me to getting a master’s degree in expressive therapy.
My style: I strive to provide an environment of warmth, respect, and trust. I approach therapy as a partnership. Together we will identify your unique gifts and strengths to find an approach to wellness that works best for you.
Services I offer: In-person individual and family therapy as well as online video counseling for residents of New Jersey..
