Everyone’s path is unique, and with each struggle along your life path comes the opportunity for growth. My style of therapy is conversational, empathetic, accepting, and solution focused. That being said, I often get up at a white board, to help you visualize your problem, see your worry thoughts, and help you to reframe thoughts into healthier ones. I teach skills and strategies to use in order to decrease emotional stress. I want to learn about you and what you are experiencing. I strive to validate your life experience and help you learn impactful strategies that will leave you feeling more in control of your life.

I help adults, teens and families find their path to relief from depression, anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder, life changes. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and family systems theory and empowerment model. I have experience with partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient therapy programs. I specialize in helping teens and adults that suffer from suicidal ideation, and self-harm behaviors. I work collaboratively with families, schools, psychiatrists to help find support and safety on their journey to wellness.

I also have experience in the school setting as an intense therapist for high risk youth, and have experience working collaboratively with school child study teams. I help parents learn how to communicate and advocate for accommodations in the school setting.

A little bit about me, I worked for many years in the corporate world as an accounting and finance professional. I finally made the choice to leave the corporate world behind to follow my path to social work and therapy. I attended Rutgers University’s masters in social work program. There I developed a great knowledge base in family systems and women’s issues. I continue to work towards the wellness of woman, specializing in maternal health, relationship conflict, and helping women to find balance in their various roles as mother, spouse, and caregiver.
