Before anything, I must commend you for taking the first step to feeling better about yourself. Exploring the idea of therapy is not an easy feat or something to take for granted. Life presents us all with challenges and while we may feel the need to handle it ourselves, this is not always possible. Sometimes we need help and just the act of admitting that is a big deal. When the person we see in the mirror becomes a target for our own negative thoughts and emotions, it becomes practically impossible to figure things out on your own. Please know you are not alone in thinking like this and that I am here for you. Together we can face these challenges and find a balanced approach that works best for you.

With over 10 years of experience in the addiction and mental health field, I will help you navigate the murky waters you find yourself in. Whether you are struggling with alcohol and/or drug use, co-dependency, relationship/family issues, depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, or some combination of the above, I will help guide you through one of the most difficult journeys you will ever embark on. Beginning with a seat in a beautiful, safe, and empathic environment, we will immediately identify and work on some real, attainable goals and strive to chart our way to sustainable inner peace. There may be tears and there will be laughs but above all else, there will be support, compassion, and understanding.

My approach is very much empathic and non-judgmental. Cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques will allow us to focus on turning negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors into more of a positive process. I take pride in making my clients know and feel they are important to me. Every time we meet, my attention is solely on you and only you. Additionally, while I specialize in addiction and co-occurring issues, and know well the many emotions and behaviors that come along with that, I am willing to go outside my area of expertise if you feel I may help you. You are the one ultimately in control—I’m only here to help.

If you want to explore the idea of therapy further, I encourage you to contact me for a complimentary 15-minute clarity call to determine if we can be a potential match for each other. You already have taken the first step by finding and then reading this web page. Let today be the day you find the courage within yourself to take the next step on your life path to happiness. I look forward to speaking to you and whether I get the pleasure of making your acquaintance or not, I am rooting for you!

Peace, love, and happiness,
Shelene
