Shenelle Sriwardena, LCSW

Welcome! I would first like to congratulate you on venturing to take the first steps towards therapy. It isn’t always easy to acknowledge that you need some help and support. I truly believe all people deserve to live a healthy and positive life. By taking the first steps into therapy, you are choosing to better your life and your well-being. Life poses a lot of challenges. Some are difficult to work out alone. Let’s journey together and work together to reach your goals.

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and my Masters Degree in Social Work with a Concentration in Clinical Practice with Families and Children, from Monmouth University and then also obtained my LCSW.Starting early, I gained experience working and interning with children and adolescents in various different settings and organizations including schools and the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center.
I currently work at the Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead, New Jersey. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, personality disorders, life transitions, trauma and abuse, self-esteem and relationship/family issues.

I have a great passion for traveling and learning about different cultures, religions and ethnicities. I volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and immensely enjoy helping children, families and communities worldwide. Most recently, I volunteered in Nepal and Malawi. I understand that all people, of all walks of life, deserve and have a right to live the best life possible.

Most importantly, I love and believe in the work I do. My goal is to create a positive, non-judgmental, safe place for all my clients. It is your time to heal and to start making positive life changes. Let me help you.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!
