Mission Statement

In spirit with the longstanding ethics and values of the social work and counseling field, Olive Branch Therapy Group has initiated a small and impactful program to mentor, coach and support provisionally licensed counselors and social workers. Our clinical supervisors work alongside our LSWs and LACs to provide direct support through one on one supervision and small group instruction. Olive Branch is committed to enriching our community by training professionals to provide the highest quality service possible. Each supervisor has attended formal training (ACS or CCS) for clinical supervision certification. Additionally, our supervisors have extensive post-graduate training experience in specific therapeutic areas including: Family Systems Theory, CBT, DBT, EMDR, EXPR for OCD, Gottman Couples Theory, Eating Disorder treatment, and LGBTQIA specialization. Our supervisors and the entirety of our team commit to cultural humility, a growth mindset, and social justice within our workspace for our clients and our professional community.

Supervisors utilize a holistic approach, tailoring the needs of each supervisee based on their clinical experiences, their areas of interest and their personal strengths. We place each supervisee in a small cohort for group meetings (no more than 4) to enrich learning through peer support. Additionally, each supervisee has weekly one on one supervision with their supervisor that includes case consultation, video training, instruction on specific modalities, and supportive feedback. We believe in step-down leadership, wherein the driving force is to be of service to others and so ongoing support is provided from the practice owner, the clinical director, and the team leads. Peer support is highlighted at Olive Branch, and there are multiple formal and informal opportunities to learn and consult with other licensed professionals in the practice.
