Meet Michelle Erdman, LSW (she/her):

Hello! I am a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a licensed social worker (LSW). I received my Bachelors in Social Work from Ramapo College of NJ and my Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University.

My Therapy Specialties:

I specialize in working with individuals, children/teens, and adults with depression, anxiety, past family/personal traumas, rape/sexual assault/child sexual abuse, relationships, self-growth, and Autism. I have a particular interest in working with couples, families, and individuals going through life transitions.

I also specialize in using the following methods:

  • Trauma-Focused CBT
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Mindfulness, Self-Awareness, and Empowerment
  • Psychoeducation

My style is:

warm, empathetic, supportive, and understanding. I value creating a safe, welcoming, judgment-free environment for every client that walks into my office. I strongly believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, but a unique journey, involving team effort, to accomplish personal goals.

What drew me to this work:

Throughout my life, I have always been someone to put others before myself and believed it’s the ultimate privilege to help those when they need it most. One of my greatest passions is in mental health and wellness, and erasing the stigma surrounding it. My personal experiences and interests in this area led me into the social work field, which I am now thrilled to call my professional home.

Services I offer:

In-person individual, child/teen family and couple’s sessions to residents of New Jersey.
