Meet Jamie Reilly, LPC (she/her/hers):
Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and my graduate degree from Kean University. I graduated with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My Therapy Specialties:
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with:
- Anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, trauma, relationship struggles, fear/phobias, stress management, and adjustment issues.
- I have a particular interest in working with those who have experienced domestic violence. I also have a particular interest in working with those who may have previously been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness with or without psychotic symptoms. I also enjoy working with you adults dealing with emerging adulthood topics.
Some modalities I use:
- EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing)
- Art and music therapy
- DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy)- coping skills for mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal wellness.
- Motivational Interviewing- great for setting personal goals and working through the stages of recovery
What drew me to this work:
I’ve always believed in the restorative power of rehabilitation and everyone’s ability to achieve it as they see fit for themselves. After overcoming my own anxiety and realizing that I am usually the person my friends and family turn to when they are affected by life’s circumstances, I decided to put my natural talents to work.
My style:
I love being a therapist because I value connection,am genuinely interested in how you’re doing, and I hold an unconditional positive regard and value personal freedoms to experience life. I use a therapeutic approach that is personally tailored to the needs of each client. I draw upon proven theories, might quote a reputable author, and will often offer psychoeducation. Above all, I am a very creative problem solver who likes to connect the dots. I am grateful to be trusted with your stories and show it by actively listening. I can be psychoanalytic, objective, compassionate, and will appropriately guide my clients on building new perspectives that promote positive progress on their wellness goals.
Services I offer:
In-person individual, couples, & family therapy
